Potato Casserole

2 cups mashed potatoes
1/2 cup sour cream
season salt of your choice
1 small onion
1 stick butter, melted
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar
2 medium potatoes, sliced, and boiled
6 slices bacon, cooked, and chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread mashed potatoes into bottom of casserole dish. Layer sour cream , season salt, then onions. Slices potatoes and layer over onions. Pour on melted butter, and sprinkle with more season salt. Top with cheese and cover dish. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, uncover, and bake 5 more minutes. Remove from oven and crumble bacon over top.
